It was a positive opening night for Trinity (Whitesville’s) boys’ basketball, taking care of the Owensboro Knights 60-39. Ian Roby and Harrison Barnett combined for 24 points, while Mason Smith hit two threes to go with his 10 points.

“I was thrilled with our team’s performance. We were hungry for our first game, especially since last night was canceled and rescheduled,” Trinity (Whitesville) Head Coach Nathan West said. “We moved the ball well on offense and executed our game plan on defense. I was also proud of them for bringing energy on a weird day, with no school. The Horn Center was great, and I think the community is really looking forward to watching this team going forward.”

The Raiders will be back in action this weekend at the KCAC Tournament.
