Four individuals — including three 18-year-olds and a juvenile — have been charged in connection with a weekend burglary that caused significant damage and led to the theft of thousands of dollars in property from Maui’s Theme Park and Greensman Landscape Solutions, police say.
According to the Owensboro Police Department, officers responded the morning of April 25 to Maui’s and Greensman, both located in the 5000 block of Frederica Street, after reports that both locations had been burglarized overnight.
Investigators said suspects caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage at Greensman Landscape Solutions and stole thouseands thousands of dollars worth of tools and electronics from Maui’s Theme Park.
Authorities said much of the stolen property has since been recovered, with more than $5,000 in tools and electronics returned to the businesses. Detectives are continuing efforts to locate the remaining items.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, three adult males and one juvenile male were arrested.
Eighteen-year-olds Bobby Keller, Travis Keller, and Isaac Mattingly, along with the 15-year-old, were each charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and one count of first-degree criminal mischief, according to OPD.
The investigation remains ongoing.
