A member of country artist Chase Matthew’s touring band was arrested Saturday in Owensboro shortly after performing at BBQ and Barrels, according to the jail records and a spokesperson for the Owensboro Police Department.

Carsen Richards, 22, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, was booked into the Daviess County Detention Center at 10:34 p.m. May 9, according to Daviess County Detention Center records and booking information. Those records show Richards is charged with second-degree sodomy and incest involving a person under 18 by a person three or more years older.

According to the Owensboro Police Department, officers arrested Richards on an indictment warrant out of Winchester, Kentucky, shortly after he performed on the Owensboro Convention Center lawn during BBQ and Barrels.

According to Richards’ Instagram profile, he serves as bassist and music director for Chase Matthew.

Detention center records showed Richards was being held on a $75,000 full cash bond Saturday night.
