I wanted to take just a few minutes to tell you about our “favorite” son-in-law Chris Castlen. I think everyone now knows that he was a Marine, a retired law enforcement officer, and now works for the hospital. His most important job is taking care of his family. He is a caring and loving son, husband, father, and yes even son-in-law.

When Chris told us that he felt like he needed to do more to help the county and Owensboro, we were a little shocked. His reason is he hopes young people will want to stay here and his girls will want to stay. He believes in order for that to happen we need to keep the county moving.

Chris is very devoted to his girls, including Stacy, the love of his life. He is not afraid to show his love around his family, friends, or public. His three girls are the light of his heart. He is very patient with them and most of the time he listens to their side of the story and then explains to them what they should have done. Very rarely does he raise his voice but he gives them the “look” and they know. Chris has always been an active and dedicated parent, supporting his girls’ interests in sports and dance.

If you want someone who will work with both sides and listen to the people of this great community, you will want to vote for Chris Castlen.
