Being a native of Stanley, Kentucky, and a teacher in the Daviess County Schools for over 30 years, I feel confident in supporting Chris Castlen for Daviess County Commissioner. Chris is who we need to lead us to greater heights of success by meeting the needs of the residents of Daviess County.

Chris was raised in a rural area and knows the meaning of hard work and dedication. Chris also learned his work ethic from loving parents who taught him to be honest, respectful, and always do the right thing. Most of all, he learned to be a good listener. He puts these admirable traits to use every day.

Chris is a family man who is devoted to his wife Stacy, three wonderful daughters, and his mom, a retired school teacher, who moved next door after his dad passed away.

His high school days were spent at Owensboro Catholic High Schools. He worked his way through Western Kentucky University by growing tobacco and joining the United States Marine Reserves for 6 years. He received his undergraduate and master’s degree in public administration. He joined the Owensboro Police Department where he served for over 20 years. He was recognized for his leadership skills by being sent to the FBI Academy which is very prestigious. He presently works in the Human Resources Department of Owensboro Health and works with other agencies to solve problems and accomplish goals.

Mr. Castlen knows the residents of Owensboro/Daviess County, creating in him a determination to serve his community well. He will continue to work to improve our community by properly listening to the residents and his peers. Chris will work very hard to put the community in the market for budding new businesses to come here and give opportunities for our young people to want to stay here to build their lives. He will also work hard to help our community become not only a place to visit but a place people will want to live.

Chris Castlen is a strong candidate for a Daviess County Commissioner and will serve our community and people to the highest extent possible.
