To the people of Daviess County:

The purpose of this letter is to express our strong support for our fellow veteran, Brad Youngman, for Daviess County Sheriff. As former military leaders, we each had the opportunity to get to know Brad at various times over his career and know first-hand what a strong, effective, and ethical leader he is.

Soon after Sept. 11, Brad volunteered for active duty, demonstrating his willingness to put his life on the line to defend our country and our way of life. During two combat tours with US Army Special Forces, first as a young Sergeant in Afghanistan and later as a Captain in Iraq, he showed personal courage and sound judgment, earning the respect of his fellow officers, and, perhaps even more importantly, the trust of the soldiers he served beside.

While continuing his distinguished civilian career as a law enforcement officer, he was a key leader in the Kentucky National Guard’s response to the Western Kentucky ice storm in 2009, helping his fellow citizens recover from this unprecedented natural disaster and get their lives back to normal.

We know that Brad is a man of integrity with strong family values and a proven commitment to keeping his community as well as his country safe. We urge the people of Daviess County to support his election as Sheriff.

Sincerely,
Gregory D. Armstrong, Command Sergeant Major, US Army (Ret)
Michael W. Davidson, Major General, US Army (Ret)
John D. Gipe, Command Sergeant Major, US Army (Ret)
William F. Hill, Sergeant Major, US Army (Ret)
Stephen R. Hogan, Major General, US Army (Ret)
Jerry D. Humble, Major General, USMC (Ret)
Donald C. Storm, Major General, US Army (Ret)
Edward C. Tonini, Major General, USAF (Ret)
