Daviess County, Trinity wrestlers compete at DC Duals

The Daviess County and Trinity wrestling teams ended the regular season at the DC Duals on Saturday.

The host Panthers went 4-1, losing only to Wayne County, who went undefeated on the day. Trinity went 2-3, but full results were not available at the time of publication.

Other teams competing in the duals were Ohio County, Wayne County, Bullitt Central, Calloway County, Trigg County, Paducah Tilghman, Bardstown, Henderson and Western (Louisville).

Daviess County earned a 43-40 win over Western, who is coached by DCHS graduate Sam Roberts. The Panthers also beat Trinity 42-30 and Trigg County 42-24, then ended the day with a 48-18 win over Calloway County.

Conner Tolson and Landen Boone both went 5-0 on the day, and Boone got four wins by pin fall. Skyler Walker and Say Moe both finished 4-1.

Daviess County and Trinity will be back in action in the Region 2 Tournament, which begins Friday at Taylor County.
