Jacob Crabtree hit a two-RBI single in the seventh inning to help Daviess County overcome five errors in a 5-4 walk-off win over Meade County at home Wednesday.

Ryan Beckwith was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning for the Panthers (8-11), and he advanced to second on a wild pitch. Nolan Boswell singled to put runners at the corner, and Chandler Froelich was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out.

Crabtree, who also had a double, then drove in two runners for the win. Beckwith had a pair of doubles and two RBIs, while Jack Gibson had two hits and scored twice.

Sam Johnson got the win for the Panthers, throwing 3.0 innings and giving up two runs on three hits and four strikeouts. Beckwith went 4.0 innings with two runs allowed on four hits. All of Meade County’s runs were unearned.

The Panthers took an early lead with a run in the second inning before Meade County plated two in the third. Daviess County added two in the fourth and the Green Wave scored once each in the sixth and seventh frames to go back in front.
