Apollo and Owensboro split their matches at the Owensboro Tennis Complex, with the E-Gals sweeping the girls’ competition and the Red Devils doing the same in boys’ action.

On the girls’ side, winners were Mia Lampert (def. Olivia Miller), Madalyn Hyland (def. Layne Draegar), Lauren Clements (def. Emma Embry), Caitlyn Blandford (def. Paige Castlen), Brooklyn Knight (def. Avery Elliott) and Natalie Estes (def. Lily Hofstrom).

Doubles victories came from Blandford/Madalyn Hyland (def. Miller/Draegar), Clements/Lynzy Schwartz (def. Embry/Castlen) and Gracie Cart/Anna Hyland (def. Elliott/Hofstrom).

For the boys, singles winners were Paul Iracane (def. Stephen Austin), Will Clark (def. Ryan Ash), Mitchell Douglas (def. Michael Chapman), Grayson McFarland (def. Chris Cox), Clayton Rhoads (def. Thomas Ashby) and Conner Elliott (def. Luke Austin).

Doubles victors were AJ Iracane/McFarland (def. Ash/Chapman), Clark/Isaac Nalley (def. Cox/Ashby) and Cameron Thompson/Paxton Jenkins (def. Stephen Austin/Luke Austin).

Owensboro Catholic 7, Muhlenberg County 2 (boys)
The Owensboro Catholic tennis teams dominated the day at Moreland Park, as the girls’ team got a sweep and the boys won seven matches against Muhlenberg County.

Girls’ singles winners were Sarah Kate Young, Emmy Moore, Reagan Fulkerson, Ella Grace Buckman, Katie Riney and Elizabeth Hayden. Doubles winners were Ashley Fulkerson/Sarah Englert, Alyssa Gatten/Olivia Hayden and Rachel Traylor/Maddie Hayden.

Boys’ singles victors were Nick Boarman, Will Danzer, Davis Brocato, Garrison Danzer and Ty Gatten. Doubles winners were Brett Conder/Garrison Danzer and Gatten/Ethan Higdon.
