Aces shut out at home by Colonels

The Owensboro Catholic baseball team had another tough day at the plate in a 10-0 loss at home to Henderson County on Thursday night.

The Colonels (16-10) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and the Aces (15-10) weren’t able to make up any ground as they dropped their fourth game in a row. Henderson County added two more in the second inning and one run each in the third and fourth frames before putting the game away in the seventh by plating four runners.

Owensboro Catholic only had three hits on the night, including a double by Luke Scales. Henderson County finished with nine hits, including a double and three triples.

Sam McFaralnd took the loss for the Aces, giving up six runs (two unearned) on seven hits with three strikeouts and a lone walk.
