Monday’s action:
• Catholic girls top DC, Panthers beat Aces
• OHS boys sweep match at Hancock County

Owensboro Catholic 8, Daviess County 1 (girls)
Daviess County 7, Owensboro Catholic 2 (boys)
Owensboro Catholic nearly swept Daviess County in the girls’ match, while the Panthers largely controlled the boys’ match against the Aces at Moreland Park.

The Owensboro Catholic girls got singles victories from Sarah Kate Young, Sarah Englert, Reagan Fulkerson, Ella Grace Buckman and Claire Augustine. Doubles wins came from Alyssa Gatten/Olivia Hayden, Young/Emmy Moore and Katelyn Mitchell/Sarah Hayden.

The Catholic boys picked up wins from Nick Boarman and Davis Brocato.

For Daviess County, Celine Lee earned the lone win for the girls. Singles winners for the boys were Chris Salamah, Dylan McDuffee, Ryota Takahashi and Andey Peeples. Doubles victors were Salamah/McDuffee, Camden Clark/Takahashi and Luke McClelland/Graham Sandefur.


Owensboro 4, Hancock County 0 (boys)
The Red Devils were dominant in a sweep of Hancock County on the road. Singles wins came from Mitchell Douglas, Clayton Rhoads and Cameron Thompson, while the doubles team of AJ Iracane/Grayson McFarland also won.
