The Big Blue Caravan is headed back to the Bluegrass state and will make a stop in Owensboro from 4-6 p.m. June 27 at the Wesleyan Park Plaza Kroger on Frederica Street.

The Caravan will make some stops at various local businesses and a visit with local first responders.

The Big Blue Caravan, led by Mitch Barnhart, is the University of Kentucky Athletics’ annual outreach program.

The highlight of the Big Blue Caravan will feature poster giveaways and photo opportunities with UK’s mascots and trophies recently won by Wildcat teams.

“We are excited to be touring the Commonwealth once again on the Big Blue Caravan,” Barnhart said. “The return of the event last year was a special experience for all who participated and the relationships we built and strengthened still last today. We look forward to doing the same this summer in a new set of communities throughout the state that means so much to us.”

The event is free and open to the public.
