Former Owensboro High School basketball standout Aric Holman was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers, as announced by the NBA team Tuesday night. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

The 6-foot-10 forward went undrafted but reached a deal to join Lakers the next morning. Holman has already begun NBA Summer League action with the team.

Holman’s career with Owensboro included a state championship in his senior campaign in 2014-2015. He recorded 20 points, 14 rebounds and 8 blocked shots in the title game win. He was also named a Kentucky Mr. Basketball finalist that season.

Holman went on to play four years at Mississippi State University. In four years with the Bulldogs, he averaged 8.3 points and 5.6 rebounds.
