Owensboro 12, Evansville 6
After plating four runs in the sixth inning, the Owensboro Bombers added seven more in the final frame to pick up a road win over Evansville Funkhauser.

In the seventh inning, Daylin Crabtree drove in the tying run with a single to start a big Owensboro rally. A walk, fielder’s choice and error allowed two more runs to cross while keeping runners on with no outs before Ethan Cartwright later tripled to drive in another pair.

Down 5-1 to start the sixth, Owensboro’s Griffin Haire scored on a passed ball and Crabtree drove in another run with an RBI double. Cartwright later reached on an error that allowed a run to score and tie the game at 5-5.

Crabtree, Haire and Tucker Hagan each had two hits. Crabtree, Cartwright and Dylan O’Bryan each drove in two runs, while five different players scored twice.

Crabtree started on the mound and gave up four runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Cartwright got the win, going three innings with two runs on two hits and four strikeouts.

OHIO VALLEY LEAGUE
Fulton 9, Owensboro 6
The Owensboro RiverDawgs (16-8) weren’t able to hold on to an early lead at home as the Fulton Railroaders rallied to come back for a win.

Owensboro scored three runs each in the first and fourth innings to go up 6-2, but Fulton added a pair of three-run innings of their own to go in front. Four errors by the Dawgs lead to five unearned runs, and Owensboro batters struck out 16 times.

Ian Ellis hit a three-run homer in the first inning for Owensboro. Manny Gonzalez and Michael Wymann each had a pair of hits. Wymann and Falkenstein each doubled.

The RiverDawgs stay home Tuesday to host the Madisonville Miners in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m.
