Tommy Clark struck out 10 batters in a dominant performance on the mound Monday night, helping the Owensboro Post 9 Bombers earn a 14-4 win in seven innings at home against Harrisburg.

Clark — who graduated from Apollo High School in May — came in to pitch with Owensboro trailing 4-1. He allowed five hits and a single walk over the final five innings. Clark struck out the side in the top of the seventh after getting into a bases-loaded jam.

Offensively, the Bombers used a three-run third inning to tie the game at 4-4, then added plenty of runs late. They scored five runs over the fifth and sixth frames before adding five more to end the game in the seventh.

Demetrio Ortiz, Griffin Haire and Ethan Cartwright each had three hits, while Clark and Tucker Hagan each added two. Cartwright scored four times, while five others scored twice each. Ortiz and Jordan Tolle each drove in three runs.

Owensboro returns to action Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. game against Newburgh at Shifley Park.
