A handful of Owensboro golfers competed Thursday in the GO Junior Southern Series Championship at Western Hills Golf Course in Hopkinsville. Awards were given based both on the day’s results as well as the points earned throughout the summer series.
Emma Payne was the medalist in the Girls 16-18 Championship with an 81, and she finished as the runner-up in the season-long points standings.
Hannah Robbins shot a 52 as the only competitor in the Girls 11-12 nine-hole division on Wednesday. She was the season-long tour champion in the division.
J.T. Payne carded an 87 in the Boys 13-15 Championship, good for third overall on the day in his division.
