LOVE’S 70 LEADS PANTHERS BOYS IN HIGH-PROFILE KIT
The Daviess County boys’ team competed in the 56th Annual Knights Travel Kentucky Invitational Tournament, which featured many of the top teams across the state. The Panthers shot 305 — their lowest score of the year — though the winning team from Saint Xavier shot 276.
Daniel Love shot a 1-under 70 to lead the way for DC. Other scores came from Chris Salamah (75), Nick Johnson (77), and Braden Whistle (83). Brady Huckleberry also played and shot 91.
DCHS, AHS, OCHS GIRLS PLAY IN BARREN COUNTY INVITATIONAL
The Lady Panthers competed as a full team, while three individuals from Apollo and one from Owensboro Catholic competed in the Barren County Invitational.
Owensboro Catholic’s Emma Payne and Apollo’s Macey Brown each shot a 77, tying for sixth place as individuals. Also competing for the E-Gals were Brooke Brown (102) and Mary Ann Lyons (105).
Daviess County’s team score of 373 was good for seventh place. Holly Holton’s 86 led the Lady Panthers, who also got scoring from Emilee Clark (91), Addison Heady (93) and Kirsten Henderson (103). Others competing for DC were Anna Lane (114) and Annalee Yager (116).
