Lady Aces win team title; Apollo’s Brown finishes second

The Owensboro Catholic girls’ golf team ran away with the team title, also claiming third through fifth individually Friday in the Lady Mustangs Invitational at Central City Country Club. Apollo’s Macey Brown finished second.

The Lady Aces were led by Abby Bahnick, whose 77 was good for third overall individually. Emma Payne was fourth with a 78, and Maddi Roberts took fifth with an 82. Rounding out the scoring was Conleigh Osborne with a 98.

Catholic’s team score of 335 far outpaced Hopkinsville (398), Muhlenberg County (440) and Hancock County (544).

Apollo’s Brown shot 76, three shots behind first-place finisher Sarah Hagedorn of Union County. Also competing for the E-Gals were Mary Ann Lyons (105) and Addison Carter (118).
