E-GALS TOP BOWLING GREEN IN FOUR SETS
Apollo (6-1) dominated early and then held off a comeback bid by Bowling Green for a 3-1 (25-11, 25-14, 24-26, 25-20) victory at home.

The E-Gals were led by Brylee Rhodes (10 blocks, 8 kills), Whitley Chambers (12 kills), Anslee Hopewell (13 assists, 6 aces, 12 digs), Hallie Wilson (17 digs) and Tallie Satterfield (5 kills, 8 assists).

Apollo will play at home again Thursday when they host Evansville Mater Dei.


LADY RAIDERS RALLY OPEN DISTRICT PLAY WITH FIVE-SET WIN
Trinity (3-4) dropped the first two sets to Edmonson County but rallied for a 3-2 (17-25, 24-26, 25-7, 25-13, 15-10) home victory to begin 12th District action.

Leading the comeback charge were Josie Aull (30 assists, 5 digs), Morgan Kinsey (17 kills, 7 digs), Hannah Nash (11 kills, 4 digs) and Cassidy Morris (9 kills, 7 blocks). Other contributors were Taylor Pedley (13 digs), Abby Payne (11 digs), Madi Edge (11 digs), Avery Barnett (3 kills, 3 digs) and Josie Booker (5 digs).

Trinity will play another 12th District game Thursday with a road trip to Grayson County.


LADY PANTHERS FALL TO NORTH IN FIRST HOME MATCH
Daviess County (7-3) came up short in their home opener against Evansville North. A final score was not available.

The Lady Panthers were led by Hannah Axley (12 assists, 7 digs), Kloee Phelps (15 digs, 6 kills), Kayla Clark (28 digs) and Kendal Goetz (27 digs). Other contributions came from Ryann Keller (6 assists, 3 digs), Ashton Johnson (4 digs, 7 kills), Chea Bowers (9 digs), Delaney Evans (8 digs) and Elizabeth Moore (5 digs, 8 kills).

Daviess County will have a week off before opening 9th District action at home Tuesday against Owensboro.


OHS LOSES TIGHT CONTEST WITH OHIO COUNTY
The Lady Devils (3-6) fell short at home in a close battle with Ohio County, as the Lady Eagles earned a 3-1 (25-23, 30-28, 25-21, 25-19) victory.

Leading the way for Owensboro were Lainey Hayden (8 kills, 5 digs, 3 blocks), Krystell Pappas (12 assists, 3 digs) and Armanda Pappas (5 assists, 4 kills). Also helping the cause were

Jersie Rhineburger (10 digs), Kennedy Thompson (5 digs, 4 assists), Mykael Winstead (7 kills), Mia Covington (4 kills, 3 assists) and Audretta Tyler (4 digs).

The Lady Devils are back in action Saturday when they host the Best of the West tournament. OHS will play Logan County and Grayson County.
