Aces top Butler County in home win

The Owensboro Catholic boys’ soccer team picked up a victory at home, as a handful of players scored in a 7-3 win over Butler County.

Cole Blandford and Joe Fusco each finished with two goals for the Aces (5-5-1), while  Austin Martin, Matt Murphy and Hayden Thomas had one a piece. Lance Dickens, Dominic Ranallo, Blandford and Davis Conner each recorded an assist.

Landon Reffitt had three saves in goal and Caleb Ranallo had one. The Aces had 32 shots with 19 on goal. The Bears had 13 shots, with seven on goal.

Catholic returns to action Thursday against Owensboro in both teams’ final 9th District regular season game.
