Apollo’s Brown shoots low round, Catholic tops DC for team honors

Apollo’s Macey Brown shot a 1-over-par 37 on the back nine holes at Ben Hawes Golf Course to take medalist honors Tuesday, while Owensboro Catholic beat Daviess County 181-187 in the team event.

The Lady Aces were led by second-place individual finisher Emma Payne with a 41. Also scoring for Catholic were Maddi Roberts (42), Abby Bahnick (44) and Conleigh Osborne (54). RC Porter shot a 58.

The low round for the Lady Panthers came from Holly Holton with a 45. Others scoring for DC were Emilee Clark (46), Kirsten Henderson (47) and Addison Heady (49). Hadley Hunter shot a 52.

Apollo also had two others competing as individuals. Brooke Brown shot a 43, while Addison Carter finished with a 57.
