The Daviess County and Owensboro volleyball teams each extended their win streaks Monday, with the Lady Panthers earning a sweep at home and the Lady Devils picking up a four-set victory on the road.
Daviess County (16-6) won their fourth match in a row, sweeping Henderson County 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20) at home.
Leading the way for the Lady Panthers was Hannah Axley (15 assists, 3 digs), Ryann Keller (13 assists, 2 digs), Elizabeth Moore (11 kills, 3 digs) and Kendall Goetz (11 digs, 3 aces).
Also contributing were Kinsley Phelps (6 kills, 4 aces, 2 blocks), Kloee Phelps (8 digs, 2 aces), Ashton Johnson (7 kills, 3 blocks), Jasmine Beasley (5 kills, 3 blocks), Delany Evans (6 digs), Chea Bowers (5 digs).
Owensboro (8-13) won their third consecutive match, taking down Grayson County 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22) in a tight contest on the road.
The Lady Devils were led by Krystell Pappas (19 kills, 9 kills, 4 digs, 2 aces), Lainey Hayden (16 kills, 8 blocks, 2 aces), Jersie Rhineburger (6 digs, 4 assists, 3 kills), Armanda Pappas (5 kills, 3 digs, 2 blocks), Kennedy Thompson (8 assists), Mykael Winstead (5 kills, 2 blocks) and Brooklyn Williams (2 kills, 2 blocks).
DC and OHS will square off Tuesday for a 9th District match Tuesday at Owensboro.
