TUESDAY’S SOCCER ACTION:
• Armistead helps lift Panthers past Maroons
• Eagles use second half to win third straight


ARMISTEAD HELPS LIFT PANTHERS PAST MAROONS
Declan Armistead scored a pair of second-half goals and helped lead the Panthers (11-1-2) to a 3-1 road win over Madisonville-North Hopkins. Jacob Boling had a goal in the first period. Hunter Clark, Hayden Glover and Carson Thomas each had an assist.

Daviess County returns to action Thursday when they wrap up regular season district play at Apollo.


EAGLES USE SECOND HALF TO WIN THIRD STRAIGHT
Apollo (8-6) won their third game in a row, taking down Ohio County 3-0 with three second-half goals for a home victory.

Yo Shi Ya got the Eagles on the board two minutes into the second period, and Jaelin Kirk followed with a goal a few minutes later. Ya later assisted Harrison Bowman for the final score.

Apollo will host Daviess County on Thursday when they wrap up regular season district play.
