BOYS
FUSCO, BLANDFORD LEAD ACES TO DOMINANT WIN
Joe Fusco had three goals and Cole Blandford added two as Owensboro Catholic easily rolled to a 10-0 victory at Todd County Central.
Austin Martin, Luke Payne, Matt Murphy and Tom Kurtz added one goal each, and another score came from an own goal by the Rebels. Blandford and Lance Dickens had two assists each, while Fusco, Jack Bach, Jonathan Isbill and Payne had one a piece. Caleb Ranallo had one save in goal.
The Aces (8-7-1) finish the regular season at home Thursday against University Heights.
EAGLES TIE WITH NORTH HARDIN ON ROAD
For the second game in a row Apollo finished with a tie, this time in a 2-2 contest at North Hardin. Scoring for the Eagles was Harrison Bowman and Jaelin Kirk. Assists came from Bowman and Jacob Gillim.
Apollo (9-8-2) wraps up the regular season at home Monday against Webster County.
GIRLS
LADY ACES EDGED BY LADY MARSHALS
Owensboro Catholic came up short at home, falling 3-1 to Marshall County. The lone goal came from Ashton Logsdon on an assist by Ella Claire Goetz. Megan Goodwin had two saves in goal.
Catholic (7-6-1) plays again Tuesday when they travel to Greenwood and the finish the regular season Thursday at Henderson County.
E-GALS POST BEST RESULT OF SEASON
Apollo wasn’t able to get the win, but a 2-2 draw with Christian County was the best result of the year for the E-Gals.
Shelby Boone scored the first goal for Apollo, and Alyssa Lawrence scored on a penalty kick late in the second half.
Christian County got the equalizer and held on for the tie despite receiving two red cards
JoHannah Hutchison finished with 15 saves in goal for the E-Gals.
Apollo (0-11-1) travels to Madisonville-North Hopkins on Tuesday before finishing the regular season at home Thursday against Ohio County.
