Terry, Ainsley lead DC teams to runner-up finishes

Brady Terry placed third among the boys and Ainsley Taylor took fourth for the girls to lead Daviess County to a pair of second-place team finishes at the Rumble Through the Jungle cross country race hosted by North Oldham.

The boys’ team finished with 81 points, just behind Madison Central’s winning score of 75. St. Xavier was third with 118.

The girls’ team finished with 75 points and were beat out by Oldham County’s score of 44. Christian Academy placed third with 163.

Terry led the boys’ team with a time of 16:15.3, while other scoring runners were Alex Adams (9th, 16:39.8), Justin Shelton (13th, 16:55.6), Caleb Tidwell (24th, 17:23.4) and Bryson McGary (32nd, 17:35.5).

Taylor led the girls with a time of 19:57.0, while other scoring runners were Emily Ann Roberts (7th, 20:01.7), Emily Rempe (15th, 20:33.2), Destiny Miles (16th, 20:38.0) and Kayley Payne (34th, 21:17.1).
