TUESDAY’S VOLLEYBALL ACTION:
• Lady Aces roll past Lady Devils in three sets
• Lady Raiders fall in battle with Grayson County


LADY ACES ROLL PAST LADY DEVILS IN THREE SETS
Owensboro Catholic picked up another 9th District win, earning a 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-14) road sweep over Owensboro.

The Lady Aces (13-6, 3-0 9th District) won their fourth match in a row and were led by Cecilia Clements (24 assists, 6 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks, 2 digs) and Madeline Castlen (7 blocks, 5 kills, 2 digs, 2 aces).

Also contributing were Belle Wright (8 kills, 5 digs), Jenna Glenn (8 digs, 3 aces), Cassidy Towery (6 kills, 3 digs), Cate Sights (4 kills, 3 blocks), Clara Bach (5 assists) and Allie Hamilton (3 digs).

The Lady Devils (5-13, 0-3) were led by Krystell Pappas (6 digs, 4 assists, 2 kills, 2 aces), Jersie Rhineburger (10 digs), Armanda Pappas (5 digs, 2 kills) and Kennedy Thompson (2 digs, 2 assists).

Catholic will play again Thursday at Breckinridge County. Owensboro is back in action Wednesday with a road match at Meade County.


LADY RAIDERS FALL IN BATTLE WITH GRAYSON COUNTY
Trinity dominated the first set but ultimately couldn’t hold on, falling at home 3-2 (5-25, 27-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-13) to Grayson County.

The Lady Raiders (6-11) were led in the effort by Josie Aull (40 assists, 19 digs), Morgan Kinsey (19 kills, 13 digs, 6 aces), Taylor Pedley (28 digs, 2 aces, 2 assists), Cassidy Morris (10 kills, 9 digs, 3 blocks) and Hannah Nash (12 kills, 2 digs, 2 aces).

Also contributing were Josie Booker (17 digs), Abby Payne (12 digs), Avery Barnett (7 digs, 2 kills), Lexie Barnett (8 digs) and Jenna McDowell (3 blocks, 2 kills).

Trinity plays against Thursday when they host Butler County.
