Apollo’s Macey Brown and Owensboro Catholic’s Emma Payne wrapped up their seasons Wednesday as they competed in the final round of the girls’ golf state tournament.
Both struggled on day two at Bowling Green Country Club, teeing off early in the morning and battling tough playing conditions.
Brown, a sophomore, posted a two-day score of 165 (78-87) to finish tied for 32nd overall. She finished the day with one birdie and five pars.
Payne, a senior, posted a two-day score of 176 (88-88) to finish tied for 65th overall. She had seven pars in her final round.
