SATURDAY’S VOLLEYBALL ACTION:
• Lady Devils compete in quad state tourney
• E-Gals in action in JCIV Tournament


LADY DEVILS COMPETE IN QUAD STATE TOURNEY
Owensboro went 2-4 over the weekend in the Quad State Tournament at McCracken County. Straight-set wins came against West Creek (25-5, 25-12) and Hopkins County Central (25-11, 25-23).

The Lady Devils lost in straight sets to Ballard Memorial (25-21, 25-17), Dyersburg (25-22, 25-17), McCracken County (25-7, 25-17) and Warren East (25-17, 25-19).

Stat leaders on the weekend were Armanda Pappas (22 digs, 13 kills, 5 blocks, 3 aces), Krystell Pappas (36 assists, 24 digs, 18 kills, 5 aces), Jersie Rhineburger (44 digs, 4 assists, 4 aces, 3 kills), Lainey Hayden (20 kills, 12 blocks, 2 aces) and Audretta Tyler (27 digs, 4 aces, 3 kills).

Other contributors were Brooklyn Williams (14 kills, 7 digs, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 2 aces), Kennedy Thompson (19 digs, 18 assists), Mykael Winstead (12 digs, 10 kills, 4 assists), Addie McDaniel (11 aces, 4 kills, 5 digs) and Mia Covington (7 kills, 4 aces, 4 digs, 2 assists).

The Lady Devils play again Monday when they host Madisonville-North Hopkins.


E-GALS IN ACTION IN JCIV TOURNAMENT
Apollo finished 1-3 overall in the JCIV Tournament this week at OVVC. The win for the E-Gals came against Butler County (25-8, 25-20).

Losses for Apollo were against Dixie Heights (25-17, 25-21), Highlands (25-11, 26-24) and Frederick Douglass (24-26, 27-25, 28-26).

Leading the effort in the tournament were Tallie Satterfield (51 assists, 16 digs, 9 kills, 4 blocks), Hallie Wilson (44 digs, 10 aces), Anslee Hopewell (41 digs, 9 kills, 8 aces), Whitley Chambers (23 kills, 8 digs, 6 blocks), Natalie Ewing (19 kills, 6 blocks), Brylee Rhodes (15 blocks, 13 kills, 8 digs, 2 aces) and Abby Spong (19 digs).

The E-Gals return to action Tuesday when they host Hancock County.
