• Raiders outlast Todd County Central in road win

BOYS
OHS, OCHS, AHS, DCHS ALL COMPETE IN TOURNEY AT SPORTSCENTER
All four 9th District teams competed in the inaugural Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn River City Roundup held at the Sportscenter.

• Owensboro vs. Castle
Gavin Wimsatt scored 22 points and the Red Devils (4-1) used a dominant third quarter en route to a 60-46 victory over Castle (Ind.). The game was tied at 12-all after the first quarter and OHS led by five at the half before stretching the lead to 46-30 heading into the final period.

Amari Wales added 12 points, and Reis Dickinson — who hit the only two 3-pointers for OHS — finished with 11. Also scoring were Matt Brown (7), Isaac Humphrey (6) and Kenyata Carbon (2).

• Owensboro Catholic vs. John Hardin 
Catholic (3-2) fell behind early and never recovered, as John Hardin continued to pull away for an 81-50 victory over the Aces. Catholic trailed 18-9 after the first quarter and 41-24 at the half.

Brian Griffith led the Aces with 15 points, while Andrew Riney had 13 and Gray Weaver added 11. Also scoring were Sam McFarland (5), Drew Hartz (4), Ji Webb (1) and Luke Scales (1).

Apollo vs. Forest Park
The Eagles are still looking for their first win, as Forest Park (Ind.) pulled away for a 70-57 victory over Apollo.

Malik Wilson led the Eagles with 15 points, while Cameron Frantz added 14. Also scoring were Landon Hamilton (8), Ryan Ash (7), Jaden Kelly (6), Dan St. Claire (5) and Harrison Bowman (2).

• Daviess County vs. Tell City
The Panthers (3-3) struggled on the offensive end, dropping their third game in a row with a 47-36 loss to Tell City (Ind.). DC scored only 16 points in the first three quarters before posting 20 in the fourth.

Logan Hillard scored a team-high 12 points and Ryan Thomson added 10. Also scoring were Joe Humphreys (6), Bo Stratton (4) and Camron Johnson (4).


RAIDERS OUTLAST TODD COUNTY CENTRAL IN ROAD WIN
Though they struggled throughout the night, Trinity (3-3) had just enough to hold on for a 57-56 win at Todd County Central. Up by four at the half, the Raiders stretched their lead to 14 by the fourth quarter but had to hold off a late rally to secure the victory.

Landon Hall led the offense with 19 points and Landon Huff added 11. Also scoring were Brenden Wathen (7), Kevin Foster (6), Ethan Howard (6), Denver Dickens (4), Cade Mills (3) and Will Edge (1).



GIRLS
• E-GALS TOP MURRAY FOR IMPRESSIVE WIN

After a tough loss Friday night, the E-Gals (3-2) bounced back for an impressive 53-39 victory over Murray in the Lady Mustang Classic at Muhlenberg County.

Amber Dunn led the effort with 12 points and nine rebounds. Kassidy Daugherty added 12 points and six rebounds, while Zoe Floyd had 10 points and grabbed seven boards.

Also scoring were Amaya Curry (6), Addison Carter (5), Amari Sanders (4), Brylee Rhodes (2) and Shelbie Beatty (2).


MORRIS DOMINANT IN WIN FOR LADY RAIDERS
Cassidy Morris scored 35 points and led the Lady Raiders (2-3) to a 62-47 win over Todd County Central. Leading by two after the first quarter, Trinity stretched their lead to 10 at the half and 16 by the fourth quarter.

Morgan Kinsey added 11 points and Josie Aull scored nine. Also scoring were Allie Graham (4), Hadley Hatfield (2) and Katherine Hibbitt (1).
