LATE EFFORT HELPS DC WIN AGAIN
The Panthers again came up with just enough plays down the stretch, winning their second nailbiter in a row by edging past Warren East 58-54 on the road. Daviess County trailed by one point after the first and second quarters, and the teams were tied at 38-all heading into the fourth.

Logan Hillard led the effort for the Panthers with 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. Bo Stratton and Ryan Thompson each added 10 points. Also scoring were Will Barron (8), Joe Humphreys (7) and Camron Johnson (6).


ACES SHAKE SLOW START IN BIG WIN
After scoring only eight points in the first quarter, Owensboro Catholic dominated the rest of the way in a 79-42 road victory over Meade County. The Aces scored 23 points in the second frame, then added 24 in each of the final two periods.

Brian Griffith led the way with 19 points, while Gray Weaver added 17 points and Ji Webb chipped in 12. Also scoring were Drew Hartz (9), Sam McFarland (8), Andrew Riney (6), Luke Scales (5) and Everett Munsey (3).



GIRLS
OC FALLS SHORT AT BOWLING GREEN
A 26-point night by Hannah McKay wasn’t enough for Owensboro Catholic, who suffered a 62-54 road loss at Bowling Green. The Lady Aces went 12-for-25 from the free throw line but hit eight 3-pointers.

Catholic also got scoring from Spencer Harvey (10), Catherine Head (9), Ally Maggard (8) and Isabella Henning (1).
