MONDAY’S ACTION:
• Comeback bid falls short for E-Gals
• Lady Panthers take narrow road loss


COMEBACK BID FALLS SHORT FOR E-GALS
Apollo (10-5) used a strong third quarter to erase an early deficit at home, but Henderson County was able to pull away again down the stretch in a 59-47 victory. The E-Gals trailed 39-22 at the half but twice got within four points with scoring runs in the third period.

Offensive leaders for Apollo were Zoe Floyd (12 points, 6 rebounds), Amber Dunn (11 points, 6 boards) and Kassidy Daugherty (9 points, 6 rebounds). Also scoring were Amari Sanders (7), Amaya Curry (6) and Shelbie Beatty (2).


LADY PANTHERS TAKE NARROW ROAD LOSS
Daviess County (6-9) fell behind early, and a strong second half wasn’t enough as they fell 57-53 at Butler County. The Lady Panthers trailed by 11 at the half but got within 40-36 heading into the fourth quarter.

DC’s Brooklyn Daugherty hit four 3-pointers and led the team with 22 points. Adylan Ayer added 16 points, with 13 coming after halftime. Other scoring came from Katie Mewes (9), Ella Payne (3), Shea Mason (2) and Emma Anderson (1).
