THOMSON’S 29 NOT ENOUGH FOR DC
Daviess County (5-12) hit 15 3-pointers and got 29 points from Ryan Thomson, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a big first-half deficit in an 81-68 loss at Ohio County. Thomson hit six 3s, Will Barron added five and Logan Hillard knocked down three.

The Panthers trailed 21-9 after one period and the gap grew to 39-23 by halftime. DC got within 55-49 by the end of the third period but the Eagles pulled away down the stretch.

Thomson’s 29 points led all scorers. Barron had 15 and Hillard finished with 13. Other DC scoring came from Bo Stratton (4), Camron Johnson (4) and Hunter Gibson (3).

RAIDERS DROP DISTRICT ROAD GAME
Trinity (6-12) struggled in the second quarter and couldn’t totally recover as they lost 65-57 on the road against 12th District opponent Edmonson County. The Raiders trailed by two after the first quarter but faced a 29-16 deficit at the half.

Landon Hall led Trinity with 16 points — including 14 in the second half — while Kevin Foster hit five 3-pointers to finish with 15 points. Also scoring were Brenden Wathen (9), Ethan Howard (6), Ben Geotz (4), Will Edge (2), Bailey Wright (2), Landon Huff (2) and Elijah Boarman (1).

GIRLS
DC FALLS SHORT AFTER SLOW START
Daviess County (7-10) fell behind early and wasn’t able to overcome the deficit in a 52-46 road loss to McLean County. They trailed by 10 after the first quarter and nine at the half but closed the gap to six heading into the fourth period.

Adylan Ayer led all scorers with 20 points, and Ella Payne added 12. Other scoring for DC came from Emma Anderson (6), Katie Mewes (5), Shea Mason (2) and Brooklyn Daugherty (1).

LADY RAIDERS STRUGGLE IN ROAD LOSS
Trinity (7-8) had a tough night offensively, falling 49-32 in a 12th District loss at Edmonson County. The Lady Raiders only trailed 24-20 at the half, but they scored only two points in the third quarter and couldn’t make up any ground in the fourth.

Cassidy Morris scored a game-high 18 points, going 12-for-14 at the free throw line. Also scoring were Josie Aull (7), Morgan Kinsey (4), Allie Graham (2) and Madison McDaniel (1).
