FRIDAY’S ACTION:
• Daugherty’s 29 helps E-Gals roll past Bosse
• Lady Raiders lose late lead against Butler County
• Raiders edged in tight home battle


DAUGHERTY’S 29 HELPS E-GALS ROLL PAST BOSSE
Kassidy Daugherty was on fire, finishing with 29 points and five assists to guide Apollo (13-5) to a dominant 69-50 home win over Evansville Bosse. Daugherty finished 10-for-15 from the field, 4-for-6 from deep and 5-for-5 at the line.

With the E-Gals trailing 12-6 after the first quarter, Daugherty took over and scored 15 of the team’s 25 second-quarter points to put them ahead 31-23 at the half. She added 10 more in the third to help put the game away.

Other leading contributors were Amaya Curry (10 points, 7 assists), Addison Carter (9 points, 7 rebounds) and Janaya Douglas (8 points, 5 rebounds). Scoring also came from Zoe Floyd (4), Brylee Rhodes (4), Kennedy Rowan (3) and Gracie Survant (2).

As a team, Apollo finished 27-for-53 from the field and 8-for-16 from beyond the arc. They limited Bosse to just 16-for-47 from the floor.


LADY RAIDERS LOSE LATE LEAD AGAINST BUTLER COUNTY
Cassidy Morris scored 23 points, but it wasn’t enough as Trinity (8-11) couldn’t hold on at home in a 56-45 loss to Butler County.

Morris was scoreless in the first quarter and the Lady Raiders fell behind 12-7, but she scored 10 in the second to give Trinity a 25-23 lead at halftime. They still led by two heading into the fourth quarter, though the Lady Raiders were outscored 20-7 in the final period.

Other scoring for Trinity came from Josie Aull (9), Morgan Kinsey (6), Hadley Hatfield (5) and Kenzie McDowell (2).


RAIDERS EDGED IN TIGHT HOME BATTLE
Trinity (6-15) kept things close the entire way, but they fell just short in a 63-58 home loss to Butler County. They trailed by two after the first quarter and four at the half, but the Raiders went ahead 39-38 heading into the final period.

Denver Dickens finished with a team-high 15 points after going scoreless in the first quarter. Landon Hall added 13 points and Ethan Howard finished with 12. Also scoring were Brenden Wathen (7), Landon Huff (6) and Elijah Boarman (5).
