MONDAY’S ACTION:
• E-Gals edged in final seconds
• Quick start not enough for Lady Panthers
• Lady Devils fall to Hancock County
• Raiders can’t keep up in home loss


E-GALS EDGED IN FINAL SECONDS
Apollo overcame an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter to take a lead, but they fell 62-60 at Webster County after the Lady Trojans converted an and-1 with five seconds to go. The E-Gals (13-6) led by two at the half but trailed by seven after the third quarter.

Zoe Floyd led Apollo with a double-double, scoring 17 points and adding 10 rebounds. Also scoring were Kassidy Daugherty (16), Addison Carter (12), Shelbie Beatty (9) and Amaya Curry (6). Curry had five assists and Janaya Douglas grabbed seven rebounds.


QUICK START NOT ENOUGH FOR LADY PANTHERS
Daviess County scored 17 points to take a first-quarter lead, but they couldn’t hold on in a 59-48 home loss to Grayson County. The Lady Panthers (8-12) fell behind by nine points at the half and closed the gap to four before the Lady Cougars pulled away.

Katie Mewes led DC with 15 points and Brooklyn Daugherty added 13. Also scoring were Adylan Ayer (9), Emma Anderson (6) and Druree Glenn (5).


LADY DEVILS FALL TO HANCOCK COUNTY
Owensboro struggled in the second and third periods, coming up short in a 63-48 home loss to Hancock County. The Lady Devils (5-16) only trailed by three points after the first quarter, but the gap grew to 11 by halftime and 24 at the end of the third.

A’Lyrica Hughes led OHS with 18 points and Brooklyn Williams had nine. Also scoring were Lyric Lawrence (7), Krystell Pappas (4), Lindsey Gibson (4), Kaylyn Sowders (3), Chandler Worth (2) and Tamia Smith (1).


RAIDERS CAN’T KEEP UP IN HOME LOSS
Trinity fell behind early at home, and McLean County used a strong second half to pull away for a 79-51 victory. A six-point halftime deficit for the Raiders grew to 11 points by the end of the third quarter, and the Cougars added to the lead in the fourth.

Landon Hall led Trinity with 16 points and Landon Huff chipped in 10. Other scoring came from Cade Mills (8), Brenden Wathen (5), Ethan Howard (5), Landon Smith (3), Denver Dickens (2) and Bailey Wright (2).
