FRIDAY’S ACTION:
• Lady Aces top Lady Tigers on road
• Red Devils finish strong with big home win
• Aces’ comeback bid ends with OT loss
• Eagles edged by McLean County


LADY ACES TOP LADY TIGERS ON ROAD
Owensboro Catholic (20-10) capped off the regular season with a road win, topping Breckinridge County 57-50. The Lady Aces held a four-point advantage after the first quarter but the lead was trimmed to 29-27 at the half. After an even third period, Catholic pulled away down the stretch.

Spencer Harvey led the Lady Aces with 16 points and four rebounds, going 4-for-5 from 3-point range and 4-for-4 at the free throw line. Hannah McKay pulled down 17 rebounds and added nine points.

Caroline Reid scored eight points and had seven assists, and Catherine Head hit three 3s to finish with nine points. Also scoring were Ally Maggard (6), Isabella Henning (4), Randchelle Johnson (2), Camille Conkright (2) and Kinsley Goetz (1).


RED DEVILS FINISH STRONG WITH BIG HOME WIN
Owensboro (17-10) used a dominant second half to run away with a 72-55 home victory over Henderson County. The Red Devils led 35-28 at the half, then used a 13-2 run in the third quarter to pull away.

Kenyata Carbon led OHS with 19 points, while Amari Wales added 18 and Gavin Wimsatt scored 14. Also scoring were Jaiden Greathouse (8), Cayman Powell (6), Isaac Humphrey (4) and Trey Hinton (3).


ACES’ COMEBACK BID ENDS WITH OT LOSS
Owensboro Catholic (17-13) overcame a 13-point halftime deficit, but they eventually lost 61-59 in overtime at Muhlenberg County after the Mustangs hit a pair of free throws with 1.7 seconds to play. The Aces got within 41-35 by the end of the third quarter and tied the game at 51-all to force overtime.

Brian Griffith led Catholic with 16 points and Drew Hartz scored 12, while Andrew Riney and Gray Weaver each added 10. Ji Webb finished with nine points and Luke Scales chipped in two.


EAGLES EDGED BY MCLEAN COUNTY
Apollo (5-23) came up just short in another tight battle, falling 55-54 on the road to McLean County after the Cougars hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds.

It was a balanced effort by the Eagles, with Dan St. Claire, Cameron Frantz and Malik Wilson each scoring 11 points and Jamen Kinison adding 10. Ryan Ash and Landon Hamilton scored four points a piece, and Harrison Bowman scored three.

St. Claire had 10 rebounds and Kinison had six. Wilson and Kinison each dished out four assists.
