SATURDAY’S RECAPS:
• Eagles snap skid with big win
• Raiders pull away in second half
• Panthers fight back but fall short


EAGLES SNAP SKID WITH BIG WIN
Apollo (4-20) snapped a seven-game losing streak, blitzing Union County in an 84-36 win at home. Up six after the first period, the Eagles blew the game open with a 32-5 second quarter.

Dan St. Claire led the way 16 points, while Jamen Kinison scored 14 and Cameron Frantz added 11. Other scoring came from Malik Wilson (9), Ryan Ash (8), Harrison Bowman (8), Logan Weedman (6), Landon Hamilton (4), Jai Rowan (3), Devaughn Johnson (2), Beau Barker (2) and Logan Rhinerson (1).


RAIDERS PULL AWAY IN SECOND HALF
Landon Hall scored 16 points and Trinity (7-17) used a strong third quarter to pull away for a 55-39 win over Hopkins County Central in the Sportscenter Shootout. Up two at the half, the Raiders pushed their lead to 40-28 by the end of the third quarter.

Trinity also got scoring from Brenden Wathen (12), Kevin Foster (8), Ethan Howard (7), Landon Huff (6), Will Edge (4) and Denver Dickens (2).


PANTHERS FIGHT BACK BUT FALL SHORT
Daviess County fought back from an early deficit, but they didn’t have enough down the stretch in a 59-44 loss to North Bullitt in the Sportscenter Shootout. The Panthers (6-18) trailed 21-12 after the first quarter but knotted the game at 26-all by halftime. The went back down by five points by the end of the third quarter.

Camron Johnson led the DC effort with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Other scoring came from Cole Burch (9), Bo Stratton (8), Ryan Thomson (5), Koki Kato (4), Logan Hillard (3) and Will Barron (3).
