Youth baseball remains in limbo as COVID-19 continues to spread, with leagues announcing further postponements to the start of their seasons.

Owensboro Eastern Cal Ripken league has extended their temporary suspension of all baseball activities through May 10, including the use of any league facilities or equipment, according to a statement released on Saturday.

Similarly, Owensboro Western Cal Ripken league is postponing all baseball activities through May 12 according to a statement posted on Saturday.

Though Owensboro Southern Little League has not released a statement of their own, Little League International announced on Friday they “recommend that our leagues exercise an abundance of caution and implement a temporary suspension/delay of all league activities until no earlier than May 11.”

Owensboro-Daviess County Cal Ripken Baseball, Daviess County Little League, and Daviess County Girls Softball Associations released a joint statement last month that all practices and games were suspended until further notice at all playgrounds and county parks.
