The Kentucky Lightning 2010 softball team won their tournament championship in Jasper, Ind., after going 4-1 over the weekend.
All of the Kentucky Lightning teams (2009, 2010, 2011, 8u) played in the Santa Claus Sizzler this weekend. Kentucky Lightning 2009, 2011 and 8u were rained out Sunday, but all finished pool play as No. 1 seeds. The 2011 and 8u teams both went 2-0, while the 2009 team finished 1-0-1.
Kentucky Lightning 2010 and 8u enter their national tournaments this week playing in Evansville, while the 2011 and 2009 squads are preparing for their nationals in Gulf Shores, Ala., next week.
