KWC Panthers win opener over Pioneers

The Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers grabbed a win in their season opener Tuesday as they took down Campbellsville-Harrodsburg.

The Panthers cruised by the Pioneers 81-64 with four players finishing with double-digit points.

Zach Hopewell (16 points), Tre Cobbs (16 points), Wyatt Battaile (15 points) and Sasha Sukhanov (13 points) all helped lead the Panthers to victory.

Battaile also added 13 rebounds while Sukhanov chipped on 10 boards. Jamil led the way with 11 assists.

KWC plays Friday and Saturday at Murray State for a pair of exhibition games against the Racers.
