Panthers down Owensboro, Catholic at OHS

The Daviess County Panthers hit Owensboro High School Tuesday as they took down the host Red Devils, along with Owensboro Catholic.

DC edged OHS 42-39 then beat Catholic 72-12.

Auden Ranburger, Carson Hendrix and Alex Elmore went undefeated on the night for the Panthers.

DC competes again today at Taylor County with Warren Central.

In another match, Owensboro took down the Aces 54-18.

Auden McLaughlin, Andrews Quintana, Gabriel Quintana, Nick Avery, Austin Gough, Zack Humphrey and Logan Palmer were all undefeated for the Red Devils.

“With the delays to our season due to COVID-19, it appears we’re finally getting our legs under us and we will get better,” OHS coach Kenny Stone said.

OHS hits the mat again Thursday at Ohio County against the host Eagles, Evansville Reitz and South Warren.
