Lady Aces win Mater Dei Girls Tennis Invitational
The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces went north Saturday and came back across the river with a first-place finish at the Mater Dei Girls Tennis Invitational at Evansville North.
Ella Cason won the No. 1 singles flight as she went 2-0 on the year. Ella Grace Buckman finished second in the No. 2 singles division and fell in the flight’s championship. Elizabeth Hayden took second in the No. 3 singles flight as she also fell in the championship match.
In doubles, Emmy Moore and Sarah Kate Young won the No. 1 doubles flight while Olivia Hayden and Aisha Merchant won the No. 2 doubles flight. In the No. 3 flight, Katelyn Mitchell and Claire Augenstein won the title to give the Lady Aces the sweep.
