The Red Devils bounced back from their two-game losing streak, handing Muhlenberg County a 4-1 loss thanks to stellar pitching performances from Connor Hallmark and Trevor Delacey.

Tied 1-1 after four, Owensboro was able to tack on two runs in the top of the sixth to take a 3-1 lead.

Hallmark’s day on the mound ended after five and Delacey closed the game out, striking out two and giving up no hits in the final two frames.

Brady Benjamin led the team in RBIs with two while Elijah Hampton and Dylan Blair each drove in a run.

Cayden Ray, Elijah Hampton and Kindrick Williams each had two hits for the Red Devils.

Owensboro plays at Grayson County on Friday before the Red Devils take on Owensboro Catholic at 3 p.m. Saturday in the opening round of the 9th District Baseball Tournament at Shifley Park.
