Apollo 13, Owensboro 0 (5 innings)

The Apollo E-gals scored early and often as Emmie Bullington threw a one-hit shutout in AHS’s dominant 13-0 win over Owensboro Thursday.

Apollo scored two in the first and net let up as they ended the game in five innings.

Bullington struck out twi in five innings with Morgan Turner having the only hit for the Lady Devils in the loss.

For Apollo, Morgan Frizzell (2-3, HR, 2B, 4 RBI, 2 R), Hannah Snell (1-1, 2 R), Olivia Crawford (1-1, R), Courtney Hagan (1-1, RBI), Morgan Julian (2-3, 2 RBI, R), Abbie Gore (1-3, 2B, R), Macy Calhoun (2-2, HR, 2B, 2 RBI, R), Delainee Hayden (RBI, R), Mallory Velotta (1-1, 2 R), Liza Page (2 R) and K’Asia Palmer (1-3) all contributed in the victory.

Apollo plays today at Union County while Owensboro today at Evansville Bosse.

Daviess County 4, Evansville Mater Dei 0

Daviess County’s Raylee Roby tossed a no-hitter as the Lady Panthers hit the road Thursday and took down Evansville Mater Dei 4-0.

Roby had 11 strikeouts and cruised to the win as she threw 86 pitches in the game.

DC jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first and added three in the fourth to take the win.

Hattie Newman (1-3, HR, 2 RBI, R), Jessie Daniel (2-3, RBI), Abby Newman (1-4, 2B), Millie Roberts (1-3, 2 R) and Seana Liebfried (1-3, R) all contributed in DC’s win.

Daviess County plays today at home against McCracken County.

Owensboro Catholic 3, Henderson County 2

Owensboro Catholic scored three runs in the bottom of the first and held off the Henderson County Lady Colonels 3-2 Thursday at OCHS.

Both teams scored in the opening frame but it was the Aces that had a 3-1 lead after one. Henderson added one in the top of the seventh but the Cols couldn’t extend the game.

Hadley Phelps got the win for the Catholic as she struck out two and allowed two earned runs in the complete game.

Camille Conkright (1-3, 2B, RBI, R) and Lilly Grant (1-3, 2B, RBI) led the Lady Aces in the victory.

Catholic plays today at Webster County.

Russellville 16, Trinity 10 (8 innings)

Russellville and Trinity needed extra innings to determine a winner Thursday as the game was 7-7 after seven but then the flood gates opened.

Russellville scored nine runs in the top of the eighth and while Trinity scored three in the bottom of the frame it wasn’t enough as the Lady Panthers won the matchup 16-10.

Macie Aguilar and Katherine Hibbit each had doubles for the Raiders with Hibbit adding two RBIs. Raylee Higdon (2-3, 2B, 3B, RBI) and Sarah Payne (1-1, RBI) also had solid games for Trinity.

Trinity plays Saturday against Owensboro and Breckinridge County at BC.
