Apollo 8, Ohio County 4
K’Asia Palmer went 3-3 with a home run and 2 RBIs to lead the Apollo E-gals to an 8-4 win over Ohio County on Friday.
Palmer added three runs in the game as Emmie Bullington (2-4, RBI), Morgan Julian (2-4, R) and Abbie Gore (2-3, R) also had big games for the E-gals.
Bullington also picked up the win in the circle as she struck out three and allowed three earned runs on eight hits.
Apollo plays at Bowling Green on Monday.
McCracken County 4, Daviess County 1
Defensive miscues hindered Daviess County early as they fell 4-1 to McCracken County Friday in the first game of the Team Lauren Cancer Awareness Tournament.
DC had the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh with only one out but could only get one run across in the frame.
The Lady Mustangs scored two runs in the first two innings to lead 4-0 before DC scored in the bottom of the seventh.
Jessie Daniels went 2-3 with 2 2B and a run while Kelsea Roby had the lone RBI. Katie Mewes and Sophie Simone also had singles.
Daviess County plays Warren East and Eastern today at DC.
Owensboro 20, Evansville Bosse 5
The Owensboro Lady Devils avoided a three-game losing streak when they went across the river and cruised to a 20-5 over Evansville Bosse.
Addison Hill had a monster game for OHS as she went 5-6 with seven RBIs and four runs to go with two triples.
Sophie Moorman (4-4, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 3 R), Morgan Turner (3-6, 3 RBI), Emmi Connor (3-5, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI, 3 R), Lindsey Gibson (2-5, 3B, RBI, R) and Brooklyn Keller (2-5, RBI, R) all had big days at the plate while Lauren Hughes had four runs.
Keller also picked up the win in the circle with four strikeouts and only three runs allowed.
Owensboro plays at Breckinridge County today against the Lady Tigers and the Trinity Lady Raiders.
