Payton Blades and Ryley Whitney both earned National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association (NFCA) All-American honors, while Katy Chadwell, Mia Aldridge and Tori Humphrey earned Second-Team All-Region recognition.
Blades hit .422 with 14 doubles, seven homers and 45 RBI. She also finished tied with the team-high in stolen bases (12-of-13). The .422 average is seventh all-time in the single season record books.
Whitney led the Lady Tigers by hitting .444 with 15 doubles, nine home runs and 48 RBI. Her batting average finished third all-time in a single season and her total hits finished eighth. The 48 RBI is tied for 10th.
Aldridge and Humphrey, both using their extra COVID-19 season, shined in their super senior year. Aldridge hit .365 with seven home runs, 45 RBI and stole 10 bases. Humphrey finished hitting .360 with a team-high 17 doubles, 10 home runs and 51 RBI.
Chadwell, the lone pitcher earning All-Region honors, went 21-5 overall with a 2.36 ERA through 151 innings. She tossed 14 complete games and three shutouts while holding opponents to hitting only .271. The 21 wins ranks seventh on the single-season list.
As a team this season, the Lady Tigers put up new program records.
