Raiders fall to Edmonson County in 12th District final

The Trinity Raiders couldn’t find their offense Tuesday and suffered several errors as they fell to Edmonson County in the 12th District Baseball Tournament at Butler County.

The game was scoreless until Edmonson scored in the bottom of the third, which started the offensive run for the Wildcats in the 4-1 win over the Raiders.

Trinity aided the Edmonson runs with five errors in the game.

Edmonson County scored in the final three at-bats while Hunter Wilson and Gavin Minard combined for just three allowed hits on the mound for the Wildcats.

Wilson earned the win after he went five innings and struck out four while allowing three hits and three walks.

Trinity added its only run when Nolan Mills scored in the top of the seventh.

Nathan Hernandez was dealt the loss for Trinity but had a solid start with five strikeouts and four hits allowed. All four Wildcat runs were unearned for Hernandez.

Hernandez, Landon Huff and Mason Mattingly had hits for the Raiders in the loss.

Trinity and Edmonson County now await the draw for the 3rd Region Tournament as its set to start this weekend at Grayson County.
