Apollo boys soccer fell to Henderson County in its first road game of the season, while Owensboro Catholic’s game was canceled due to COVID-19.

Apollo vs. Henderson County

Apollo came into the game off its first loss of the season looking to bounce back against Henderson County, but fell 4-1.

The Colonels were able to put one on the board in the first half and once they grabbed the lead they never looked back.

Henderson County’s offense was too much for the Eagles, as it was able to extend its lead and walk away with a 4-1 win in front of the home crowd.

Elbert Moo had the lone goal of the day for Apollo, while Steven Teran battled and made eight saves in goal.

The back-to-back losses put the Eagles at 2-2 on the season, with a short road trip to take on Daviess County coming up on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Owensboro Catholic vs. Hopkins County Central

Owensboro Catholic and Hopkins County were scheduled to play Monday, but Hopkins County Central had to enter quarantine, thus canceling the game.

The Aces will have a few days off as they prepare to take on Owensboro Thursday in a cross-town battle at 7 p.m.
