Owensboro Catholic faced a tough opponent in Ohio County, falling in an offensive showcase 7-4.
Head Coach Andy Hines said the Lady Aces struggled playing against a very physical team and couldn’t find a way to stop senior Carly Embry who had all seven goals for the Lady Eagles.
Junior Maddie Hayden, junior Katie Riney, sophomore Jahaira Ward, and sophomore Ginny Young all scored for Owensboro Catholic.
Despite tallying four goals, the Lady Aces failed to convert on a number of opportunities, finishing the game with 20 total shots.
Now Owensboro Catholic sits at 6-2 overall and will look to bounce back against Meade County on Saturday, hosting them at 2:30.
