Owensboro Catholic vs. Murray
The Lady Aces were able to sneak out a 1-0 win over the Murray Tigers in their first game of the day.
Owensboro Catholic had its dynamic duo provide them with the lone goal of the day, as Maddie Hayden found Ashton Logsdon in the 24th minute of play.
The Lady Aces were able to blank Murray for the remainder of the game, taking the win and moving to 2-0 overall.
Owensboro Catholic vs. Marshall County
Following a close shutout win over Murray, Owensboro Catholic’s offense was too much to handle for Marshall County.
After being unable to score in the first two games of the season, just like Head Coach Andy Hines said she would, Hayden had her big game.
She ended the game with a brace, while Logsdon recorded another goal to give the Lady Aces a 3-0 lead.
Ginny Young was responsible for two of the assists, while Mallory Bailey recorded the third assist.
This trio of goals was more than enough to top Marshall County, as Owensboro Catholic took the victory and moved to 3-0 overall.
