Owensboro boys soccer fell 2-1 to McCracken County on Saturday, as a pair of goals from junior Josh Kuntz was the difference maker.

The Mustangs came out of the gates aggressive offensively, looking to grab an early lead and control the game.

They did just that, as Kuntz grabbed the first goal of the game via penalty kick. Later in the first half he would strike again, giving McCracken County a 2-0 lead.

The Red Devils kept fighting, looking to chip away at their deficit and pull off a comeback win on the road.

Senior Ta Hser was able to find the back of the net in the second half, but Owensboro was unable to convert offensively again, falling to the Mustangs 2-1.

The Red Devils took 10 shots on the night, with six on goal. McCracken County took 10 shots with five on goal.

The loss moves Owensboro to 5-6 overall, as they will look to snap its three-game losing streak when they host Bowling Green at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
